There are several “Chinese Ghost Story” movies. I am reviewing the one made in 1990-91 starring Tony Leung-Chiu-Wai (“Fong” – student monk), Joey Wong (“Lotus” – beautiful ghost), and Jacky Cheung (“Yin” – Taoist swordsman).
Chinese fables, magical fighting, romance, humor, and B movie special effects: it all works together. Tony and Jacky are funny and Joey is beautiful.
