Tudor Survivor by Margaret Scard is a history of mid-fifteenth century English history told through the eyes of William Paulet. Paulet (POWlett) successfully served four monarchs: Henry VIII, Edward VI, Mary I, and Elizabeth I. He lived to age 87 and was the highest ranking peer at the time. He was a faithful courtier and servant to the monarchy and he was a survivor. His motto was to be a bending Willow not a sturdy Oak, but Margaret Scard concludes he was both.
