The Bodyguard (Thai) – A Brief Review

the bodyguard screen shotIt’s amazing fun to find and check out films on Netflix that you’d never run across in mainland US theatres. “The Bodyguard (Thai)” features Petchtai Wongkamlao who is the “Jackie Chan” of Thailand: skilled in the martial arts, nuanced and skilled as an actor, humorous on purpose, and (of course) unknown to US audiences. I recommend it for the martial arts action and humor (especially the last 20 minutes in the warehouse battle scenes, after the nefarious evil-doer has been revealed to the hapless but now saved by Petchtai family members). It’s nice to find a new actor who’s not “all about me.”
