An Avatar is a representative of a real person in the virtual world. It is a character you can dress and move. If you are new to Second Life it is a good idea to explore the environment before the module starts. You should be familiar with moving your avatar around, interacting with others and be able to use voice in-world. You will not receive technical tuition on Second Life during class time – it is up to each participant to learn how to live, act and behave in the environment in advance. You can get a free Second Life Avatar here. https://join.secondlife.com/ Follow the instructions. Once you download the client and login there is a character movement tutorial provided by Second Life.
Send email to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for registration form. On successful completion participants receive 5 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System higher education credits and a Dublin Institute of Technology Certificate of Successfully Completed Course Accreditation.
